Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a vibrant seaside city of beautiful islands and great green parks. The city has over a hundred kilometers of shoreline and around 300 islands in its archipelago.

Helsinki’s secret is that you can get everywhere without a car. It is a compact city to explore on foot, as most of the sights are within convenient walking distance of the city centre. Even if you’re in the buzz of the city, green areas, parks and the sea are around the corner.

Helsinki has also a well working public transport system (HSL) consisting of bus, tram, metro, local railway and ferry services. City bikes in Helsinki are also a popular and convenient way of getting around the city. City bikes are shared-use bicycles that can be borrowed for a fee by anyone in central Helsinki, southern Espoo and Leppävaara, residents and visitors alike

Dragon Gold Cup will be held in Helsinki from 20 to 28 July 2018. The regatta will be run by the Helsingfors Segelklubb ( HSK), one of Finland’s oldest yacht clubs. Being Finland, the clubhouse not only offers all the usual facilities, but also sauna to ease those aching limbs at the end of a long day’s Dragon racing.
